Hewlett Packard Enterprise's Just Right IT offerings have been expanded and refreshed several times since the small and medium-sized business (SMB)-targeted products and services were introduced in 2010. Today, the new Hewlett Packard Enterprise company continued to expand the Just Right IT portfolio with the launch of four new Just Right IT offerings available through partners only, according to vendor.
The company pegged the SMB market opportunity at $70 billion and noted that it's relatively untapped in terms of solutions offered by Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Therefore, expect to see Hewlett Packard Enterprise strive to increase the percentage of sales through partners.
"As SMB customers find new ways to boost productivity, solve for security threats and manage IT costs, we recognize the value, expertise and relationships that lie with our partners," said Flynn Maloy, director of SMB Enterprise Group Marketing, in an email. "They help customers with limited budgets and IT resources make important technology decisions that impact the security and productivity of their business."
So what's new?
Designed for the SMB market and boasting rapid deployment and ease of management, the new Just Right IT offerings include:
- ProLiant Tower and Rack Gen9 servers featuring Intel Xeon E5-2600 v3 series and Xeon E3-1200 v5 series
- Pre-engineered and configured Flex Solutions
- The Small Business Marketplace
- The HPE Subscription for Servers financing option
For starters, Hewlett Packard Enterprise has expanded its ProLiant 10 Series Compute portfolio that combines memory, storage, performance and manageability, to address multiple workloads of SMB companies.
Two new Flex offerings -- the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Flex Solution for My First Server; and the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Flex Solution for Secure Encryption -- integrate server, storage, networking and services.

According to Hewlett Packard Enterprise, the company will increase the volume of SMB-focused offerings over the coming year, releasing twice as many SMB-targeted products and services in 2016 compared to 2015.
In today's announcement, Hewlett Packard Enterprise also introduced the Small Business Marketplace that targets SMBs. The marketplace can be a go-to site where SMBs can compare product pricing and availability at a glance. Inventory is pulled from participating partner's online inventory. Today, these partners include Platinum Hewlett Packard Enterprise partners, CDW, Insight, PC Connection and PCM.
SMB customers also have the option of purchasing products from their channel partners who get products via distribution.
The new marketplace will pilot in the U.S. this year and roll out to other regions in 2016.
Finally, Hewlett Packard Enterprise has added the HPE Subscription for Servers program to its HPE Financial Services portfolio. Following a subscription model, customers can opt to acquire, consume and pay for their IT offerings on a monthly basis. Partners customizing a bundle of hardware, software and support can steer customers to the new financing option.
