In an attempt to capture file sync-and-share market, Connected Data has launched the Excelerate Partner Program for selling Connected Data Transporter, its on-premises file sync-and-share technology.
The Excelerate program has two levels of membership -- Authorized and Gold -- each with sales and technical training and marketing and sales support. Gold partners have access to deal registration with 20%-plus protected margins, a dedicated sales representative and joint marketing. Partners can also take advantage of SPIFs and not-for-resale pricing of 45% off MSRP.
"By creating [Connected Data Transporter] and providing it in a two-tiered distribution model, we're enabling channel partners to play in a marketplace they've been cut out of before," said Russell Johnson, COO of Connected Data. "They don't make money off Dropbox, and users are using Dropbox. Companies want to bring it back in-house. We provide the opportunity for resellers to speak to that need in a very secure manner and a method of deploying technology that they're familiar with."
Connected Data is also providing special programs for the education market. The Connected Data Education Flex Program offers a deferred payment plan exclusively to verified education organizations and institutions.
