Distributor Ingram Micro Inc. has expanded the Federal Advantage Program with Contract Management Service, a new sales, service and support program for partners focused on the federal marketplace.
The Contract Management Service program offers a Contract Bid Desk to help partners create compelling bids; federal contract management resources, including minimum mandatory technology refresh cycles and TAA compliant product information; priority service-level agreements; and a dedicated market development team. Partners that are actively involved in the Ingram Micro Public Sector Elite community will receive discounted access to the service.
Avnet Technology Solutions, CenturyLink ink deal
Distributor Avnet Technology Solutions has signed an agreement with CenturyLink Cloud to provide CenturyLink's public cloud platform to its network of North American value-added resellers (VARs). The platform is available through Avnet Cloud Solutions.
Avnet Technology Solutions will provide a streamlined onboarding process and help VARs build recurring revenue streams. Partners can also join the CenturyLink Cloud Reseller Program, which offers technical resources, account provisioning support and monthly reports. According to the distributor, Avnet partners will have ownership of customer billing and relationships with the option to do so under their brands via the CenturyLink Reseller Program.
Xerox releases new business apps
Xerox this week released several new business applications to help channel partners offer customized offerings to their clients. The business apps include two new ConnectKey apps: Xerox Mobile Print Cloud 3.0, which enhances remote, secure printing, and Sagemcom XMediusCloud Fax, which speeds up fax transmission from the cloud. The Sagemcom XMediusCloud Fax App is available worldwide through Xerox's network of channel partners.
RF Code names new channel chief
Internet of Things solution provider RF Code has appointed Ron Leon as its director of global channels. In his new role, Leon will work to advance the company's portfolio of national and global partners. He will also launch new channel programs to take the company's suite of sensors and software to market.
At the Cisco Partner Summit, the vendor highlighted growth areas for Cisco partners; urged partners to adopt storytelling and content marketing techniques; and unveiled the redesigned Cloud and Managed Services Program.
Also this week, the MSP Consortium launched a free RMM platform as part of its mission to shake up the MSP community.
