Intronis introduces channel partner training, certification resource

This week, Intronis released a new training and certification resource for its partners; channel executives stepped into new roles; and more.

Backup and data protection vendor Intronis Inc. has launched Intronis University, a comprehensive training and certification resource for its channel partners.

Intronis University's curriculum features two tracks -- a technician track and a business track. The technician track covers information for partners on how to use Intronis' technology effectively and support clients with the Intronis ECHOplatform. The business track consists of sales- and marketing-focused modules to teach partners how to market their backup and data recovery offerings powered by Intronis.

Through Intronis University, the company will also offer a new Certified Intronis Partner Technician program, which features Level One and Level Two certifications.

Partners can access Intronis University from the company's Web-based partner resource hub, Intronis Essentials.

New leaders in the channel

The channel saw the appointments of several new channel chiefs this week.

Networking vendor Extreme Networks Inc. has named Bob Gault to be vice president of global channels and partners. Gault will focus on developing Extreme Networks' channel partner program, making it a central element of the vendor's growth and innovation strategy. He will implement programs to help partners capture emerging profit pools and new revenue streams as the vendor positions its technology as the "on-ramp" to the cloud.

Distributor Ingram Micro Inc. has selected Stan Clark to be its vice president of cloud solutions. Clark will be responsible for increasing the distributor's cloud market share by recruiting strategic cloud partners, developing new vertical industry services and products, and managing the partner experience within the division's product marketing and management, vendor management and cloud solutions teams.

Silver Peak has brought on former Aruba Networks channel chief Bob Bruce as its senior vice president of channel sales. Bruce aims to increase channel awareness about Silver Peak's partner program and promote new revenue growth opportunities in WAN optimization and the emerging software-defined WAN market.

Zenoss unveils global partner program

Zenoss, a provider of unified monitoring and analytics technology for physical, virtual, cloud-based and application-centric infrastructures, has launched the Zenoss Partner Network (ZPN), a new global partner program. Through the ZPN program, partners can offer Zenoss' unified monitoring and service assurance product, Zenoss Service Dynamics, to support virtualized and converged IT infrastructures.

The ZPN program provides access to Zenoss products for development and testing, training, reseller discounts, the ZPN partner portal, and active partner management and support. Additionally, the program provides a "quick start" onboarding process and market development funds.
