Cloud-based, real-time Internet threat detection company Webroot launched its redesigned Webroot Channel Edge Reseller Program this week. The company said the program advances its commitment to the channel, which has driven year-over-year growth in the small and medium-size business market segment.
The revamped reseller program features two tiers -- Registered and Elite. All partners can access the Channel Edge Partner Toolkit, a set of sales and marketing tools that include web content syndication; the Webroot Resource Center, which provides sales and marketing materials; and a social syndication module using multiple social media sites. Partners that meet the minimum quarterly revenue requirement and are enrolled as Elite Resellers receive additional benefits, including qualified sales leads, speaking engagements and joint seminars, market expansion programs, sales incentives and a dedicated channel account manager.
The ASCII Group adds dedicated vendor rooms to ASCII-Link
The ASCII Group, a membership-based community of independent managed service providers, value-added resellers and solution providers, this week created dedicated rooms on its ASCII-Link forum.
The members-only community forum allows users to discuss technical information, vendor recommendations and business advice. According to the ASCII Group, the ASCII-Link, which uses the Listserv format, averages about 3,500 posts per month from over 800 users.
ASCII Group said it has dedicated the additional Listserv rooms to specific vendors and designed the rooms to help users freely exchange information about their experiences and solutions with the vendor. ASCII-Link does not permit access to vendors. Additionally, the ASCII Group does not moderate the posts. The current dedicated vendor rooms include Autotask, Connectwise, Continuum, GFI, Labtech, Tigerpaw and Zenith, said ASCII Group.
D&H Distributing bolsters BDR resources
Distributor D&H Distributing enhanced its backup and disaster recovery resources for resellers this week. The enhancements involve products such as storage devices, virus protection and power supply units, and include new training opportunities, educational materials, and marketing materials to help resellers sell to small business end-customers, such as a services marketing brochure template entitled "Disruption is not an Option," with tips for effective disaster recovery policies.
D&H said it will have a live, interactive Solutions Lab webcast, "Disaster Preparedness -- Before, During and After It All Comes Down," on July 31 at 2 p.m.
