Pure Storage supercharges its partner program with new tiers, benefits, more

Pure Storage adds Gold and Silver tiers to its partner program, adds a rewards program with bigger deal registration discounts, MDF and demo lab gear.

Indirect channel-led Pure Storage this week made major enhancements to its P3 Pure Storage Partner Program and also announced the formation of an invitation-only international partner advisory council.

The Mountain View, Calif., provider of all-flash storage arrays, said the next-generation P3 includes new partner tiers, expanded benefits, as well as training and support improvements, all designed to accelerate partner opportunity and profitability. Launched just one year ago, P3 has more than 100 partners worldwide and is growing, according to the company.

P3 partners can now aspire to Gold and Silver tiers to earn more rewards and reap more benefits. Sales and technical accreditation, participation in demand generation marketing programs, and pre- and post-sales customer support services will vary by tier level.

Pure Storage P3 now has PureRewards, a rewards program that offers deeper deal registration discounts, more competitive margins, market development funds (MDF) and incentives, and a demo lab gear seed unit for the delivery of pre-and post-sales value-added services.

PureAcademy is Pure Storage's new online learning management system for on-boarding new partners and getting them up to speed on sales and technical training. PureAcademy also offers new partners mobile access and downloadable resources.

Pure Storage is also making accessible to partners PureDemand, a suite of fully funded online and offline demand generation tools for content syndication, co-branded activities, and email and call blitz appointment programs.

Arrow Electronics to distribute Tintri storage in North America

In late 2012, Arrow Electronics Inc. began distributing Tintri Inc.'s VM-aware storage in 13 European countries. This week, the vendor announced that Arrow would distribute the product in North America.

Tintri, a provider of storage for virtual environments, based in Mountain View, Calif., offers Tintri VMstore, its storage solution designed and optimized for virtualized environments.

According to the vendor, Tintri VMstore reduces complexity by relating the storage infrastructure directly to the VMs and business applications, thereby simplifying the administration and management of VMs and storage interactions, while improving performance in the process.

The product reportedly eliminates cost and complexity associated with legacy storage systems because it’s built from the ground up for a virtualized infrastructure as opposed to a physical infrastructure.

In April, Tintri announced the release of version 2.0 of the Tintri Operating System (OS), its next-generation platform for the software-defined data center.

Tech Data partners with Brainshark

TDCloud resellers will see a new addition in Tech Data Corp.'s Solutions Store called SlideShark, an app for showing PowerPoint presentations from an iPad, iPhone or iPod.

Brainshark, a sales enablement solution provider based in Waltham, Mass., this week announced its strategic partnership with Tech Data and the availability of its SlideShark app through the distributor.

According to the vendor, SlideShark properly renders PowerPoint presentations to the Apple devices so business users can confidently take business presentations on the road or use them in the office.

According to Gartner, Apple iOS is the dominant media tablet operating system in the enterprise with 99,553 units projected to be sold to end users worldwide in 2013.
