Asigra cloud backup partners offered access to vertical marketing strategy info

Cloud backup provider Asigra will offer partners vertical marketing data; backup provider StorageCraft to launch cloud backup and failover services for MSPs and VARs; and more backup news.

Asigra develops vertical marketing strategy for cloud backup partners

Cloud backup software provider Asigra Inc. is adding vertical marketing strategy to its Hybrid Partner Program, which the company claims is designed to help Asigra partners become vertical marketing specialists and be more competitive in the cloud backup and recovery market. The new strategy was announced at the 2012 Asigra Cloud Backup Partner Summit in Toronto.

To develop the strategy, Asigra worked with a market research firm to gather information about buyer behaviors and preferences, which the company will make available to Asigra cloud backup partners as they target specific markets, especially those inundated with regulatory compliance.

StorageCraft to launch cloud services with backup, failover in the cloud

StorageCraft Technology Corp., a backup and disaster recovery provider, will offer StorageCraft Cloud Services later this year to MSPs and then to VARs. The company said the solution will offer complete off-site backup and failover to the cloud.

According to StorageCraft, the offering will feature three tiered options: Cloud Basic, which archives business backup images; Cloud+, which includes file and folder recovery in addition to everything in Cloud Basic; and Cloud Premium, which includes everything in Cloud+, as well as failover to the cloud.

StorageCraft Cloud Services will first be offered to those enrolled in the StorageCraft Managed Service Provider Partner Program. After launch, StorageCraft VARs can purchase storage “blocks” through StorageCraft distributors Lifeboat Distribution and Synnex.

NovaStor offers new licensing model for backup service providers

Backup specialist NovaStor is adding a pay-per-use monthly payment option for the licensing and operation of its cloud backup platform NovaBackup xSP. NovaStor charges service providers for the licenses for a monthly fee based on revenue.

NovaStor claims that the NovaBackup xSP backup solution, which includes regular software updates, features an interface that helps minimize the number of support requests and simplifyinfrastructure management.

The monthly license fee for NovaBackup xSP includes licensing, updates and full-version upgrades. The monthly license fee also includes technical support from NovaStor’s local support teams.
