Opswat cert helps security vendors show network interoperability

Opswat has revised its certification program for security vendors to prove their applications’ interoperability with popular network management products.

Opswat Inc. has revised its certification program for security application vendors to verify their products’ interoperability with commonly used network management products. Many of the more than 300 certified security applications are resold through channel partners.

The new Opswat Certification Program, which has three certification levels of bronze, silver and gold, replaces Opswat’s previous OESIS OK program. Opswat states the new program has more relevant criteria to reflect the needs of system administrators.  There is no charge for security application vendors to submit their products and receive certification, or for end users to check which security applications are certified.

Security application vendors who previously submitted their products for OESIS OK certification will be automatically placed into Opswat’s new certification program categories. These security application vendors include: Avira GmbH, AVG Technologies, Eset, Kaspersky Lab, McAfee Inc., Norman ASA, Symantec Corp., Trend Micro Inc., Webroot Software Inc. and others. Vendors of compatible network management solutions include Barracuda Networks, Cisco Systems Inc., Citrix Systems Inc., F5 Networks Inc., Juniper Networks Inc. and Nortel Networks.
