Raytheon Co. has entered into a reseller agreement with Jersey City, N.J.-based Xceedium Inc., marketing Xceedium's GateKeeper access control and audit appliance to complement its SureView insider threat solution.

Steve Hawkins, vice president of information security solutions at Ratheon, said insider and external threats to critical infrastructure pose a serious economic challenge.

"GateKeeper extends the same degree of visibility and control that Raytheon SureView provides on the endpoint across the entire network," Hawkins said. "We can now offer customers uninterrupted control, monitoring and audit of user activity anywhere on the endpoint or network."

Xceedium's Gatekeeper provides highly granular and strong access controls and audit, compartmentalizing both privileged and general users, adding authorization and integrating with authentication platforms.

"The partnership with Raytheon as a reseller that is strong in both government and commercial markets is important to Xceedium's efforts to a totally channel-driven business," said Xceedium CEO Cheryl Traverse.
