Oracle Corp. will unveil a new package of applications aimed at small and midsized businesses (SMBs) next week.
The Oracle Accelerate applications -- Oracle software preconfigured for vertical markets and packaged with implementation tools and services -- were described by Oracle President Charles Phillips during Oracle OpenWorld in October but have not been formally announced.
The company is expected to announce that it will rely on channel partners for much of the sales effort for the applications, and that it will enhance its channel program to in preparation. The launch will include new pricing designed for the SMB market and a loyalty program for partners selling the packages.
The launch will take place in Boston on Tuesday; a second event will follow in San Francisco on Thursday.
