Backup Manager for SharePoint, for example, which EMC got through its acquisition of Internosis, will use backup and recovery software layered on a SQL database to make disk-based backup of Microsoft SharePoint servers and data.
It will also add Replication Manager 5.0, a console that combines the functions of Replication Manager and Replication Manager SE, which were designed for Clariion systems.
Its NetWorker will also be able to manage Celerra's PowerSnap data snapshot functions, which have not been integrated with EMC's backup functions.
EMC will combine its Invista and RecoverPoint replication product to let customers use all three, though true integration of the remote replication functions of Invista will come later.
