Tsunami UDP

Tsunami UDP is an open source file transfer protocol that enables high-speed data transfer over network paths with a large bandwidth delay product.

Bandwidth delay product is defined as the product of a data link's capacity and its end-to-end delay.  (Product, in this context, is the mathematical term.) TCP/IP, the standard for Internet communications, does not handle transfer involving large bandwidth delay products effectively.  Tsunami UDP is also faster than FTP (file transfer protocol), another common method of data transmission, and so is more useful for bulk data transfer.  As a result, Tsunami UDP is often used for large data transfers, such as those required by cloud services.
