Symantec PartnerNet is web-based portal that was developed by security vendor Symantec to provide information, tools and benefits to its channel partner community. PartnerNet is a facet of Secure One, an umbrella partner program launched by Symantec in 2015. Secure One targets a variety of partner business models with tailored programs, including programs for resellers, cloud resellers, distributors, systems integrators and services providers.
Access to the Symantec PartnerNet portal requires enrollment in Symantec's partner program. Enrollment involves creating an account on Symantec Identity, the vendor's authentication service for online systems that uses login credentials and profile data.Content Continues Below
How it works
Once enrolled, partners gain access to the portal regardless of their status within the program. Under Secure One, partners such as resellers are tiered within four membership levels: Registered, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Membership levels have incremental benefits and requirements.
Features of Symantec PartnerNet include an opportunity registration portal. Qualifying partners can use the registration system to receive upfront discounts for closing customer deals not forecast by Symantec, according to the company. The portal also provides information such as pricing for products and program participation terms.

In addition to PartnerNet, Symantec offers MySymantec, a tool for case and return merchandise authorization management, support and licensing.
Partners can also access Symantec Connect, a user group network and archive of online content. Content available via Symantec Connect includes blog posts by customers, partners and employees sharing product-related tips.
