Verizon today announced the appointment of Janet Schijns as vice president of global channels for Verizon Enterprise Solutions. Schijns, who has worked for Verizon since November 2010, replaces Adam Famularo who is leaving the company on April 1. Famularo held his channel post since September 2014.
In her new position, Schijns is responsible for overseeing Verizon’s indirect enterprise distribution channels, i.e. partners, value-added resellers and systems integrators, in the U.S., EMEA and Asia-Pacific.
Prior to her promotion, Schijns was vice president of Verizon enterprise solutions, leading solution marketing and go to market for all channels from ideation to segment-specific launch and lifecycle marketing management to achieve sales and revenue business goals.
Her work included managing marketing for the Verizon Partner Program and working with channel partners. She served in this position since January 2012.
According to a Verizon Enterprise Solutions blog post, Verizon has driven significant growth in its channel business in the past 18 months, including a 10x increase in new business through the agent channel; the company said it will continue to build on the momentum of its channel team. Under Famularo, Verizon launched a full resale channel model, built the sales channel in the U.S. public sector, Europe and Asia-Pacific, and developed the channel into the fastest growing sales engine inside Verizon Enterprise Solutions.
