Rumor, hearsay, buzz, call it what you will, the truth of the matter is that this time rumor had it right with the official news that Tiffani Bova, vice president, distinguished analyst and research fellow at Gartner Group, has moved on. Bova is now global, sales and innovation evangelist with Salesforce.
Bova was a leading voice for sales strategy, channel program development and go-to-market strategies during her tenure at Gartner, since January 2006. Channel partners frequently heard her speak at top vendor partner conferences as well as CompTIA’s ChannelCon event. She also had a blog on the Gartner Blog Network and partners could watch videos of her presentations online. Bova was also an oft quoted analyst in many SearchITChannel articles.
As Salesforce’s new global customer growth and innovation evangelist, Bova will help Salesforce customers improve sales performance and enhance customer experience, according to a blog post by Vala Afshar, chief digital evangelist at Salesforce. Afshar interviewed Bova about her decision to change up her career. Here is some of what she had to say:
After 10 really amazing years at Gartner, it was time to think about the next step in my career. Salesforce offered me a great opportunity to evangelize sales and innovation to the market and their customers — and it was something I just couldn’t pass up. When you’re in the fourth or fifth chapter of your career, it’s important to make sure you’re going somewhere for all the right reasons. I wanted to go to an organization that is making a difference from both a business standpoint and, more importantly, from a social standpoint. With initiatives such as 1-1-1, I really like what Salesforce stands for AND it’s one of the most admired companies in the world to work for.
In her new job, a role that Salesforce custom tailored for Bova, she said that her focus will be helping companies reimagine how they can not only grow bigger but grow better with innovative business models and technologies.
Bova will also continue her work with the channel working closely with the Salesforce Partner and Alliance organization.
