Channel Chat: Mitel president Rick Dell discusses Mitel partner program

Rick Dell, Mitel president U.S.A., sits down to discuss the Mitel partner program and what Mitel partners can expect in the next year. He also advises partners on technologies to focus on and how to compete with other service providers that partner with other vendors.

Recently, Mitel announced a partnership with VMware that could bring Mitel partners into new markets. And Mitel has numerous other alliances planned for its partners over the next year. Rick Dell, Mitel president U.S.A., emphasizes that the Mitel/VMware partnership is the first of its kind and, as a result, Mitel partners aren't facing competition from other vendors' partners in this market. But what about the other markets?

In this podcast, Dell sits down with SearchNetworkingChannel.com to discuss Mitel's vendor-agnostic products and the importance of mobility and communication across the workplace. Dell also discusses other partnerships, including one with Oracle, and other additions to the Mitel partner program, including enhanced professional services. We ask Dell about the technologies Mitel will be emphasizing to its partners over the next year and how Mitel partners can compete with partners from other major vendors that sell entire networking portfolios.
