Like most networking vendors, Hewlett-Packard (HP) Networking has focused its channel message this year around data center network architecture.
Yet if selling into the data center network were as easy as telling an architecture story, the lives of HP Networking channel partners might be simple. Instead HP partners must tell a story that differentiates HP's technology from Cisco's – and doing it on price alone may not work. What's more, HP Networking channel partners must also sell basic networking components in a market in which switching is quickly becoming commoditized.
