Nearly 70% of respondents to the survey said that they were using some kind of archiving technology. Email archiving was cited most frequently, at 47% of respondents. File system archiving -- which helps mitigate the effects of unstructured data growth -- was being done at 37% of respondents' companies. A healthy percentage of respondents said they were planning to purchase email archiving products in 2012 (24%, email archiving; and 21%, file archiving).
