Podcast: Red Hat shifts from Xen to KVM

Red Hat's upcoming Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization suite is based on the kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) and not Xen. Navin Thadani, senior director of Red Hat Inc.'s virtualization business, talks about the move and what it means for the company's standing in server virtualization in SearchServerVirtualization.com's This Week in Virtualization podcast.

The new Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization is in private beta and the company will include the KVM-based hypervisor in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4 later this year.
