SAP has launched the SAP Extended Business program, which provides marketing materials, training and other resources to companies that do business with SAP channel partners but aren't SAP channel partners themselves. The move, along with a consultant referral program that SAP started in the spring, aims to expand SAP's reach into the market. In this week's podcast, Patricia Hume, the senior vice president of SAP's global channel unit, discusses these moves -- as well as the disappointing Business ByDesign launch and competition with Oracle.
The SearchITChannel.com staff also talks about how IT solution providers are using blogs, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter to promote their businesses in a Web 2.0 world.
