Brocade this week said it will acquire Foundry Networks for almost $3 billion. Brocade made the deal to increase its competitive standing against Cisco Systems in the data center. But the move also leaves Brocade and Foundry partners with questions, because the companies have not said if or how they will combine their two very different channel programs. In this podcast, the SearchITChannel.com staff discusses this news, as well as recent uproar in the channel about Symantec's direct sales strategy.
