NGenx signs workspace as a service deal with TeamLogic IT franchise

Workspace as a service vendor nGenx expanded its MSP channel through a new partnership with the TeamLogic IT franchise; more IT channel news from the week.

Workspace as a service company nGenx has partnered with managed services provider franchise TeamLogic IT to provide its hosted workspace platform to its nearly 100 franchisees across North America.

Max Pruger, chief sales officer at nGenx, based in Overland Park, Kan., said the company wanted to expand its managed services provider (MSP) channel when he joined the company in June 2015. Until then, NGenx had sold its workspace as a service products mainly through agents and telcos. "The best way I could think of doing that, while not overwhelming our onboarding team and sales team, was to reach out to a couple of ... either [MSP franchises] or MSP aggregators that deal with a lot of MSPs," Pruger said.

At the corporate level, TeamLogic IT will evaluate and select products and services, and recommend them to its franchisees. For the franchisees that adopt the product, TeamLogic IT will offer support, training and marketing. "The franchisees don't have to use that solution, but, if corporate does select an option, then almost all the franchisees will use it," Pruger said. TeamLogic IT had been evaluating workspace as a service products for about two years before choosing nGenx's, he added.

So far, about 30 of TeamLogic IT's MSP franchisees have signed up for the nGenx MSP program. "Even though our partnership is with TeamLogic corporate ... our relationship still ends up being between us and the franchisee. So, as a franchisee gets an opportunity or wants to learn more, they come to our website ... enter their information and sign up. And that way, we can track who's a TeamLogic franchisee."

As part of the agreement, nGenx will give TeamLogic IT visibility into which franchisees have signed up, and who their end customers and users are. NGenx is offering a special incentive to franchisees that sign up with its MSP program.

Pruger said nGenx will be announcing a partnership with an MSP aggregator next month.
