Hewlett-Packard Co. today announced HP SMB Solutions, bundled offerings that leverage technology from AT&T and Google and that will be available only through authorized channel partners. The vendor is also enabling SMBs to pay for these new products as well as standalone hardware products as a monthly subscription billing via the HP Financial Services (HPFS) Partner Connection.

The HP SMB Solutions are based on the HP SMB IT in a Box offering for SMBs initially announced in June 2013, that leveraged HP hardware, including PCs and printers, with Google Apps for Business.
Today's announcement expands on that initial offering. The rollout of the HP SMB Solutions combined with the monthly as-a-service billing option is designed to help partners offer their SMB customers a ready-to-use solution for business agility.
HP SMB Solutions are available in North America through Synnex's Web portal. Expect to see availability expand to additional distributors throughout the year.
The HPFS Partner Connection is a web-based tool partners can use for customer quotes, the automatic generation of documents and quick approvals. The subscription capabilities on the HPFS Partner Connection tool will be available to HP partners in the U.S. and Canada in June and will roll out to other countries throughout the year, according to HP.
Also included in today's announcement is the launch of the HP Business Helpdesk, a service that provides 24/7 technical support for SMBs operating without a managed services contract. Technical support will be available for a variety of PC and software applications running on Microsoft, Apple and Android operating systems, as well as connectivity support to peripherals such as tablets, smartphones and printers. HP Business Helpdesk can be resold by HP partners.
