CloudByte launches partner program
Startup vendor CloudByte Inc. announced the launch of its channel partner program at VMWorld 2013 held this week in San Francisco.
The program is open to value-added resellers (VARs), systems integrators (SIs), MSPs, hardware manufacturers and IT solution vendors interested in differentiating their storage solution offerings by using CloudByte's ElastiStor software.

Designed for cloud and virtualized environments, the company described ElastiStor as a software-defined storage Quality of Service solution compatible with a broad range of industry-standard servers.
CloudByte CEO Greg Goelz said that the channel program is free to qualified partners, offers training and consultative support, sales lead generation and deal registration. The program has two tiers -- preferred and premier -- differentiated by skills, support and scale level.
The company will also offer 24/7 access to a partner portal containing tools, information and a management capability.
For potential partners looking to test the vendor's product, the company is offering a free software download and the ability to manage up to 4 TB of data, perpetually.
VaultLogix integrates with LabTech Software
Cloud backup service provider VaultLogix announced this week that it has integrated its Cloud Backup and Recovery Service with the remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform from LabTech Software.
The integration of the two offerings enables MSPs to monitor the status of VaultLogix Advantage Cloud Backup and Recovery activities using LabTech monitoring agents, according to the company.
VaultLogix partners with MSPs and resellers interested in providing data protection services for their customers. LabTech, whose founders ran an MSP business before launching the LabTech business, developed its RMM platform for other MSPs.
Some benefits of the integrated VaultLogix/LabTech solution are the ability to monitor a customer's VaultLogix backup activities; proactive management capabilities from a central platform, including the ability to configure automated alerts; improved data protection for customers; and streamlined operations for providers, according to VaultLogix.

Channel-focused companies independenceIT and ConnectWise have integrated their product solutions. IndependenceIT's CloudWorkspace Suite now integrates with ConnectWise's professional services automation system.
CloudWorkspace Suite is a software platform that allows VARs and MSPs to deploy and provision applications and services with the integration of ConnectWise's proprietary management software, which facilitates the deployment and management of Desktop as a Service (DaaS) environments, according to the vendor.
CloudWorkspace is a cloud-based system for the virtualization of desktops and applications. ConnectWise helps service providers streamline business processes, positioning them for better business growth.
