According to the vendor, Aria Unified Channel Billing provides end-to-end Software as a Service (SaaS) billing and reporting across business partnerships and distribution networks -- simplifying any level of complexity for channel partners, including direct, indirect, VARs or independent software vendors.
Calling it a seamless channel billing solution, Aria Unified Channel Billing is a SaaS billing platform that consolidates diverse channel billing operations into a single system, making it more straightforward for partners to manage channel relationships and to govern, track and assess channel performance.
SaaS billing faces a growing market as more and more channel partners get on the cloud bandwagon. According to a report from Forrester Research dubbed "Cloud Channels Trends, 2013-2014," managed services, cloud infrastructure services (for example, storage, servers and hosted desktop virtualization) and cloud software services (for example, cloud-based collaboration) are all on the rise from both partners that resell services or those that provision them.
To help bring consistency to what can otherwise result in complexity or even decreased revenue opportunity, the Aria Unified Channel Billing product features the following:
- The ability for partners to segment customers by groups.
- Support for multiple pricing structures such as flat or usage-based fees, or activation fees that can also be mixed and matched across channels.
- Support for multiple channel models via templates and built-in discounting mechanisms.
- Support for unlimited price lists that work across currencies and channels.
In addition, Unified Channel Billing offers visibility into billing, a number of customized report options, data anonymity, partner performance assessment and a dashboard for a snapshot view of channel metrics.
