Caringo partners with distributor Condre Storage for object storage

Object storage provider Caringo Inc. announced that Condre Storage Inc., an enterprise data storage solutions distributor that targets SMB value-added resellers (VARs) and solution providers, now offers Caringo’s CAStor object storage software.
“In partnering with Caringo, we expand our offerings with object storage software that will run on any of the servers we offer, including Intel, SGI and SuperMicro,” said Condre’s executive vice president, David Logelin. Condre plans to license and aim Caringo’s software at running cloud, tiered and archiving storage on various servers.
Active Archive Alliance will host certified architect program
The Active Archive Alliance will be hosting its first VAR certification program on June 6 and 7, 2012, at the Chicago Marriott O’Hare in Chicago. The program will train VARs, vendors and end users on how to work with data center administrators to architect an active archive data center environment and will certify participants as Active Archive Certified Architects (AACA). Once certified, participants will be listed on the Alliance website as an active archive solution provider and will receive an Active Archive Solution Provider logo for their corporate website and marketing collateral.
Microsoft Online Services partners with Westcoast Solutions Lab
UK IT distributor Westcoast Solutions Lab has partnered with Microsoft Online Services to provide Office 365 and Windows Intune to the channel. Microsoft Online Services is a cloud service that allows customers to use Microsoft Office, Windows OS, Lync, Exchange and other Microsoft software over a local broadband connection.
Westcoast plans to offer its resellers free access to the Westcoast Solutions Lab located at its Milton Keynes office, where the company will offer a range of events and training, as well as a demo of Office 365.
