Storage Guardian cloud backup services integrated with ConnectWise PSA
Cloud backup services provider Storage Guardian recently announced integration between its services and ConnectWise Professional Services Automation (PSA) software. The integration allows VAR and MSP customers to include cloud backup monitoring alerts from Storage Guardian to their ConnectWise PSA service board and enables enhanced visibility into their clients’ backup activities. Partners who resell Storage Guardian’s services can license ConnectWise’s PSA software. The integration allows Storage Guardian to customize the structure and frequency of ConnectWise reports based on the needs of various solutions providers.

Ctera Networks unveils new mobile app for cloud file access and sharing
Hybrid cloud storage vendor Ctera Networks this month introduced Ctera Mobile, an Apple iOS and Android app. Ctera Mobile provides full access for business users to cloud drives, backups and files stored on Ctera’s cloud storage gateways. It includes security features, such as encrypted folders, and Active Directory integration, as well as native support for various image formats and uploading of files to the cloud.
Ctera Mobile does not provide synchronization or backup for mobile devices.
According to Ctera, one business that has taken advantage of Ctera Mobile is a utilities company with a large team of field technicians. The company is currently utilizing the mobile app to access job card documents on Apple iPads, authenticating users against the utility company’s Active Directory repository.
The app is available to current Ctera users for free in the company’s next software release this month.
