50 resellers worldwide.
The Ottawa-based vendor, which launched its partner program in August 2010, will use the portal to provide information, collateral, training, support and deal registration to Titus security resellers around the globe.
“The availability of the partner portal is a great step forward and reassures us that Titus is committed to its partners,” said Gary McConnell, managing partner of Titus partner Clever Consulting in Milan, Italy. He noted that the Titus portal needs more content before it will be on par with the more established portals of other vendors in the Clever Consulting line card. “Whilst obviously the Titus portal is still in its infancy, we expect it to fill up with collateral quickly. I think once Titus commits to making the correct material available via the portal, it will be successful.”
Just creating a channel partner portal does not guarantee success. McConnell noted that Titus will need to consistently add fresh content to the portal. “Once the content in a partner portal goes stale, the partners will not actively use it.”
Mark Fitchett, global channel sales director at Titus, stated, “We are working diligently to populate the portal with information as quickly as it is developed, as we know how valuable this is to our partners when they are speaking with customers. We are fortunate to have a group of partners with whom we work well and have an open dialogue. This will be helpful in making sure the portal is useful to them, and ultimately, helps them increase their sales.”
