Emerson Network Power unveils Trellis platform
To simplify virtualization in data centers, Emerson Network Power introduced the Trellis platform, which solution providers can use to increase capacity and prevent overload in their customers' power systems.
Emerson said Trellis will boost integration and collaboration between the physical and IT infrastructure layers and remove the previously required power system capacity "buffer." Trellis includes the networking capabilities of Emerson's Aperture, Avocent and Liebert Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) products.
Emerson said core Trellis modules will be available by Q4 2011, with other modules coming out over the next 12 to 18 months.
