Brocade emphasizes use of channel services
Brocade Communications Systems is opening up more service opportunities for solution providers and plans to rely on channel services

Brocade said it will cut the number of named accounts that it services directly down to 200 to 250 total, a move that should create business opportunities for VARs.
Partners say that Brocade had 850 to 1,000 accounts worldwide but will now push more professional services through partners, according to SearchITChannel.com.
Brocade's Elite or Premier partners can attain Professional Services Partner (PSP) membership if they meet its certification requirements.
VMware vCloud Director may ease public, private cloud creation
VMware says that the recently released VMware vCloud Director helps solution providers by offering the interface, automation and management necessary to build public and private clouds.
The vCloud Director allows solution providers to create central application catalogs and personalize templates. The product also gives them the ability to create and deploy vApps from templates or catalogs.
