Cisco finalizes Tidal acquisition

Cisco Systems has announced today

that they have completed their acquisition of Tidal Software in a deal valued at approximately $105 million.

Cisco will gain Tidal Software's intelligent application management and automation expertise and create new opportunities for Cisco partners with application management service offerings.

Tidal Software will become part of the Cisco Advanced Services organization.

Microsoft and HP revisit license agreement

Under a revised patent cross-license agreement, Microsoft Corp. and Hewlett-Packard Co. will assist each other in their research and development efforts across a broad range of products.

Terms of the agreement have not been revealed, but both companies are aiming to make their products more easily available to industry partners.
