NetSuite gets into retail

NetSuite partners wanting to serve retail customers -- especially those with both physical and online presence, might want to check out the company's new hosted retail management suite. VARs can use the service to create "Amazon-like" websites for their retail customers that are integrated with the existing NetSuite accounting and CRM capabilities. The suite claims to make it easier for the retailers to accept returns of products sold online in physical stores and vice versa. NetSuite said the new module should please existing NetSuite VARs that already have retail customers. The suite sells for $499 per month plus $99 per month per user.

vCenter Server Heartbeat, a high-availability offering that promises to protect the management server from most data center failures, according to SearchServerVirtualization.com.
David Friedlander, VMware's senior product marketing manager, told partners on Tuesday that the company will announce Server Heartbeat at VMworld Europe and that it will generally be available by mid-March. About 90% of VMware customers, and practically all medium-sized and large enterprises, use vCenter (formerly called VirtualCenter).
