They also bring fix-it-yourself PC problems and add programs that may cause the device -- or even the network -- to go haywire. Desktop virtualization minimizes security risks since data resides in the data center. Updates and patches are also easier. So which is the better of the two?

Microsoft adds to premier support

Microsoft Services today adds a new Premier Mission Critical Support add-on to its support roster. This add-on provides guaranteed response times backed by financial credits, round-the-clock support by a team familiar with the customer's configuration and deployment environment, prioritized access to product development times for end-to-end incident management and expedited root cause identification.
