CompTIA launches new network certification exam

CompTIA has announced a new network security certification exam, testing solution providers' abilities to maintain and troubleshoot a network infrastructure.

The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) has announced a new network security certification exam.

The exam, dubbed "CompTIA Network+," will test security solution providers' abilities to maintain and troubleshoot a network infrastructure. Security and wireless networking skills are covered in detail in the new exam, as are basic network design principles.

The new exam is one of 12 certifications offered by CompTIA. More than 235,000 IT professionals are Network+ certified, CompTIA said.
