Security 2.0 products include Symantec Database Security, an auditing and intrusion detection tool designed to catch fraud attempts in real time by monitoring sensitive data and notifying administrators when someone tries to download it. The product builds a profile of what it considers normal interaction with the database and flags abnormal activity.

The company also announced a partnership with global management consultancy Accenture and with fellow security vendor Mountain View, Calif-based VeriSign Inc. Accenture will build a security system using Symantec products, and VeriSign will co-market an identity protection and security system designed to let users create one-time passwords to protect their identity.
