Windows 7 system: Resource Monitor network information

The Resource Monitor can help solutions providers with viewing network, disk and storage information when undergoing Windows 7 system monitoring tasks.

Network: This tab displays the transfer rates for data sent and received (in bytes per second) and the total network data transfer rate per process. The jewels on this tab are the TCP connections and Listening ports sections, which give you a dashboard glance of your connections and a status of each port monitored by the firewall.

Disk: This tab displays all processes with disk activity, along with disk read and write transfer rates (in bytes per second) and total transfer rates for each process. You can expand the Storage section in this view to see the available space on each disk in the Windows 7 system and its disk queue length.
