With the upcoming general availability of Windows 10 in a couple of weeks, HP announced a new channel opportunity for partners that includes a blueprint to drive Windows 10 migrations. What’s included: partner education and training as well as competency rebranding; marketing development support plus marketing funds to support Windows 10 migration efforts with customers; co-branded marketing assets; and, partner incentives including new business opportunity boosters, according to the vendor.
HP boasted that its Windows XP migration program was a $21 billion dollar opportunity for partners and the company helped partners more than double their growth rates year over year though training and certification programs.
A provider of integrated workspace automation software platforms for service providers, ISVs and IT departments, IndependenceIT announced the availability of its latest Cloud Workspace Suite software: Cloud Workspace Suite v.4.1. Feature enhancements include universal and fully automated RemoteApp server role deployment and configuration; multi-application delivery with Microsoft RemoteApp; RemoteApp data layer and corporate shared file structure access; and, fully automated RemoteApp application entitlements for end users, according to the company.
In addition to enhanced RemoteApp support, other new features include: connectivity to the corporate shared drive data and file structures and central management for folder permissions and security; API enhancements to integrate workflow and automation management; activity logging that provides real-time information as clients, workspaces, and server resources are added or modified; enhanced workspace management functions ; and, API enhancements for workflow and automation management processes integration, among others.
Cloud enablement provider BitTitan, targeted three announcements towards partners who want to maximize profits and grow their business. The strategy: capture the entire cloud lifecycle from onboarding to selling and services.

Health Check for DeploymentPro — Readies the stage for a smooth Office 365 deployment by figuring out which enhancements are needed for each desktop prior to the move.
New initiatives for cloud service providers to cash in on Office 365: This includes BitTitan’s User Activation for CSPs, which automates the onboarding process; and CSP Jumpstart which offers BitTitan’s MigrationWiz and DeploymentPro as a free bundle for every new Office 365 seat sold, according to the vendor.
The distributor announced an enhancement to its Cloud Marketplace that enables channel partners to quickly and seamlessly convert Office 365 Advisor subscriptions to Microsoft’s Cloud Solution Partner program (CSP), opening up new and more profitable cloud opportunities for partners. The capability is available in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Expect to see worldwide availability in the near future.
The new Cloud Store, a feature that allows partners to create and manage a business to consumer wB2C online cloud store with their own brand and is delivered as an extension of their website. This feature is only available to select channel partners.
